Rainbow appears in Asik-Asik Falls

The perfect plan for Asik-Asik adventure scheduled on March 26-27, 2013 has been set! I was so excited together with my family and Patadon HS Teachers to experience the thrill and fun of Asik-Asik.
Sir Tersing in position!
WOW! Wow is the common first word that all of us uttered upon seeing the Asik-Asik Falls.

Asik-Asik Falls is a newly discovered breathtaking creation of God located in Sitio Dulao, Brgy. Dado, municipality of Alamada, province of Cotabato. The name Asik-Asik was derived from the local language “asik” which means sprinkling, leak out or dispersed. It is unexplainable where the waters came from but just come out from the wall of a mountain that is 100±m wide and as tall as 5-story building. It is extraordinary falls! The hill above the falls has no river or stream instead planted by palay, corn & other crops by the farmers. How can the unlimited supply of fast dripping water sustain the curtained-like falls? God’s creations are truly amazing!
Wacky shot daw ni!?
The water in Asik-Asik Falls is clean, colorless, ice-cold, and safe to drink. The water is mixed with alkaline as the test said. Sir Ters actually filled all our containers with the water from the falls.
We shared our lunch in the falls. We shared the joy, smiles, exhilaration and cameras that never stop flashing in the surprising falls.

Si sir ters kay gasag-ob tana!
Asik-Asik can be reached by a 4 wheeled drive vehicles or by a motorcycle. Commuters can hire “habal-habal” anyway. In our case, I, my wife Lovelyn & 2 kids Jessa & Matt decided to ride in our own motorcycle to save fare. This made our trip tripled the off road adventure. Jenny, Marj, Kem & Ters however rode in a bus from Kidapawan to Midsayap (80 km. P96), doubled tire jeepney from Midsayap to Alamada (31 km P50) and motorcycle from Alamada proper to sitio Dulao (23 km P250 vice versa). Before our rocky trip to Asik-Asik, we rested 1 night in Abantes Farm Resort, Alamada.

i'm d 5th did this way climbing...
Unluckily, it rained the night before our trip in Brgy, Dado. This made the rough and rocky road more difficult to maneuver. Different levels of challenging roads surprised all of us. Big stones are not in their positions. Many parts are slippery. There is also a road whose slope is nearly 800. Whew!!! We can’t forget that we tumbled twice on our way back home from Asik-Asik due to the slippery, muddy & rocky road of sitio Dulao. Thanks God, the kids are safe & there were no serious injuries.
